Battery not included?

Is it correct that the UniPi comes without battery?

The documentation says that the UniPi may be damaged when used without battery and this isn't the kind of battery one has lying around. Seems like a very bad idea to sell the UniPi without one. Or was the battery just accidentally left out of my package?

Hello,

yes. We ship UniPi without battery because it is not easy to ship package containing battery and get it through customs office (That is the reason why you usually do not receive batteries when purchased a product that needs it). But I think the battery UniPi uses is one of the most commonly available, usually in a nearest electronics shop.
