Simulation of UniPi hardware?

Postby Rob_in » Mon Feb 01, 2016 9:46 am

Hi,

For dev/test of home automation setup, I think it could be very useful to have some kind of UniPi simulation software. Simulate multiple boards connected to your home automation test system for example.

Is something like that available or planned?

Thanks :)

Also a good question :) Honestly this is the first time someone is asking for it, I take it as a nice-to-have feature

Well... I just wanted a simple WS server to connect to when I play with things like Node-RED for example.

Super, super simple example I just knocked up:

FWIW, it would be handy to know what message a UniPi spits out when input states change. I can't seem to find that documented anywhere.
